About the department
The Area Sales Manager position is part of the Novo Nordisk Philippines sales team, focusing on our diabetes portfolio. We are a leading global healthcare company with a 100-year legacy of driving change to defeat serious chronic diseases. Our diabetes portfolio plays a crucial role in our mission to reach millions around the world and impact more than 40 million patient lives daily. This role will cover the territory of Mindanao including Davao City and Cagayan De Oro City.  This role reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager.


The position
As an Area Sales Manager at Novo Nordisk, you will be in charge of:

  • Ensuring district sales performance and exceeding sales targets.
  • Developing and executing sales plans, targets, and budgets within the national sales strategy.
  • Managing, coaching and motivating the sales team to achieve their goals.
  • Developing team members through coaching and training.
  • Working according to business ethics procedures and local laws, as well as Novo Nordisk policies, quality standards, and guidelines.

 

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree, preferably in a science-related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience as a sales representative in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience in the diabetes therapeutic area is an added advantage.
  • Strong people management and coaching skills, with cross functional collaboration.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
