Job Description - AREA SALES MANAGER

Job Summary

Seeking new opportunities/new applications, especially new customers in the Philippines

Capturing customers requirements, developing data for promoting existing and new products, handling troubleshooting, and assisting the sales team for the achievement of planned sales targets and business goals

Responsibility for the sales target and applying sales & business strategy in the responsible area.

Developing a strong customer base which will result in the growth of business in terms of profit and sale volume in the responsible area.

Job Duties

Sales & Market Aspect

Responsible for achieving sales objectives and targets.

Creating & applying sales & business strategy in the responsible area/country

Expanding more opportunities; new products/new customer base in PHP

Do & update market information and market survey in all prospect applications in PHP.

Market intelligence information to monitor market intelligence in the responsible area relating to Ampacet Asias market position, key account trends, and competitive conditions.

Provides regular feedback on trends, product reputation, competitive activity

Customer Aspect

Visit customers and prospects with National Sales Manager and/or Regional Sales Manager and/or Business Manager to develop and maintain good relations.

Responsible for customer satisfaction and response to supervisor.

Follows up closely on customer reactions or needs and build up more royalty customer in responsible area

Involve in all business-related issues which can impact profitability, costs, and customer service e.g. effective management of local inventory.

Advises on the use of application of products.

Build up a strategic tightening program with key/potential accounts

Prepare and update sales forecasts and sales report

Co-ordinate with Customer Service Representative.

Technical Aspect

Provide basic technical information to customers, for example introducing newly developed techniques or practices for using the companys products.

Take care of the customers problems, issues, and requests and either directly solve or pass them on to the responsible function for their resolution.

Others:

Ensure backup activities on territories assigned.

Qualifications

1. Education: Bachelors Degree or higher in Polymer Science, Chemistry,

Chemical Engineering or related field.

2. Experience: 5-10 Years experience in sales, marketing, or technical sales in

Polymers, Masterbatches, Pigments, Additives for Plastics, or other similar products/application

3. Other Requirements:

Know Masterbatch market in the territory

Having a customer base in Polymer, Masterbatch Industries

Excellent communication skills, specifically in both spoken and written English

Good personality

Be able to work independently with goals and results-oriented and have good abilities in business analysis

Dynamism, self-motivation, and a professional approach skill

Good interpersonal and communication skills

Computer literate with presentation skills

Fluent in English with other Asian languages is an advantage

Familiar with working in multi-country, multilingual teams

Computer literate and can drive with a license
