Assistant Editor

Key Responsibilities•Assumes full accountability for the output and the sustainability of his/her subject area. This involves matters such as but not limited to:-Quality of projects assigned based on the standards (compliance to the curriculum, adherence to instructional design and framework, alignment of writing style, originality of the raw manuscript)-Timely completion of projects assigned-Efficient management of supplies, budget and other resources assigned •Edits for publication and for sign-off the assigned titles and ensures that the final sets of proofs transmitted have passed specification and quality standards as to content accuracy and completeness, physical and technical design and correctness in grammar, syntax, spelling and punctuation.•Assist in revising/rewriting portions of manuscripts if necessary.•Provide support to the team.•Troubleshoot minor setbacks, issues or other concerns that may cause delays or substandard quality of the team's final output.Qualifications•Must be a holder of BSEd/BEEd/BS/AB degree in the required subject area•Preferably with at least 2 years related work experience in an educational publishing or in an academic institution•Has a strong knowledge base in the required subject area•Has a good writing and editing skills•Has very good research and fact-checking skills•Proficient in computer applications•Has good oral and written communication skillsBenefits•Mandated government benefits•Life Insurance•HMO•Birthday Leave•Birthday Cash Gift•Annual Shoe Allowance•Paternity/Maternity Allowance•Uniform Subsidy•OthersWork Schedule: Monday – FridayWork Set-Up: OnsiteOffice Address: 839 EDSA, South Triangle, Quezon City (near Mother Ignacia Street, Quezon Ave MRT Station, Mcdo Que Ave)Send your updated CV/Resume at: [email protected] me at: 8929-5088; 0908 867 2521
