Overview: Our client, is a retail company located in the Pasig area, is seeking an experienced Assistant Finance Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of proven experience in financial management, including team leadership, a strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and a willingness to perform field work as necessary.
Location: Pasig
Work Schedule/Setup: Mon-Fri; onsite
Responsibilities:
- Assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the finance department, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies and GAAP.
- Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data, analyze trends, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Prepare and review financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to assess the financial performance of the company.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end and year-end close processes.
- Assist in developing and implementing internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate risks.
- Conduct field work as required, including but not limited to audits, inventory checks, and site visits.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and standards, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Willingness to travel for field work as needed.
