General Responsibilities

Management

Write policies and communicate with other business units about QA process

Create performance assessments of the QA team.

Manage manpower through proper capacity analysis and understanding product needs.

Coordinates with HRBP and heads with pushing forward employee experience within the QA body.

Refine and standardize QA Standards in processes and artifacts for better traceability.

Monitors growth of QA members through IDP, PIP.

Conducts cadences with the QA team to roll out plans and direction of the team.

Conducts interviews of applicants for QA.

Conducts internships for QA (work plan, evaluations and coordination).

Product Verification and Validation

Reviews product development documents for technical consistency, functional accuracy and compliance with requirements.

Executes test procedures independently or in collaboration with customers and/or their testing team using various test methods and techniques.

Tracks and manages defect reports to closure. Facilitate Defect Triage as needed.

Generates Test Report describing the test results, analysis of test evidences, and quality evaluation vs criteria at minimum.

Provides testing sign-off prior release/deployments.

Training and Mentoring

Authors training modules, how-to's, guidelines beneficial to multiple projects

Trains/mentors other members of the engineering center according to expertise/specialization.

Qualifications

Solid understanding of Software QA Testing.

Solid leadership and people management skills.

Knowledge and solid experience in Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and practices: Requirements Analysis, Test Planning, Test Case Writing/Design, Test Execution, Test Reporting/Documentation.

Capacity planning and work estimation.

Communication skills: direct collaboration with the project team and stakeholders.

Usage of test management and bug tracking tools (Xray, Jira).

Usage of test automation tools (Pytest, Behave Framework, Selenium, Cucumber etc.).

Ability to code automated tests (Python).

Knowledge in BDD Framework.

Understanding of SQL scripts and able to write SQL to work with various databases.

Usage of Jenkins for automated scheduled testing runs.

Usage of Github version control tool.

Facilitating defect triage and meetings.

Experience:

7+ years experience in the related fields

Experience in Agile Development Process

Experience in performing different types of tests (Smoke, Functional, Regression etc.)

Experience in testing API, Web and Mobile applications
