About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Analyst, Finance - Accounting. This role will be based in 6750 Building, Makati City, Philippines.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

Performs analysis and reconciliation of various balance sheet accounts which may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Prepayments (e.g. lease-in/rent related, insurance, Software as a Service (SaaS), royalty, property tax, etc.)
  • Deferred Credits (e.g. rents and grants related)
  • Deferred Marketing Incentives/Loans
  • Security Deposits
  • Accruals
  • Commercial Papers/Short Term Loans and related interests
  • Bonds/Long Term Loans and related Interests
  • Suspense Accounts
  • GAAPSTAT related accounts (i.e. Statutory Accounts for negative reclass and corresponding Offset and Target Accounts)
  • Currency Revaluation related accounts

 

Performs and monitors daily, monthly, quarterly and year-end close tasks/processes related to the accounts stated in No. 1. These may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Review, analysis and postings of manual journal entries. May sometimes require the use of ZGENFIP.
  • Review, analysis and validation of revaluation entries
  • Processing of recurring documents (e.g. monthly amortization, reclass entries, allocation, etc.)
  • Running of distribution cycle
  • Running of Negative Reclass program and analysis of results
  • Running of GAAPSTAT program and validation of results
  • Monitor all incoming mails via group mailbox and ensure all requests are handled timely

 

Coordinates with Local Finance and Business Units on any unusual issues related to the accounts and process stated in Nos. 1 and 2. Takes the lead in driving issues toward resolution.

 

Acts as back-up of other desks / processes.

 

Performs admin activities that may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Participates fully in Finance Safety Programs.
  • Ensures process documentations are kept current or timely updated and that records archiving and retention policy are adhered to.
  • Performs other tasks that may be assigned by the Team Leader.
  • Prepares and updates work plan as necessary and monitor self-performance to achieve performance goals.
  • Aims for continuous self-development by participating in self-study courses, reading relevant professional materials, attends functional training, interacting with industry counterparts, etc

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or management accounting

  • Minimum of five (5) years overall work experience in finance, accounting or auditing

  • Good English oral and written communication skills

  • Strong analytical, teamwork and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Must have the propensity to work in a proactive, results-oriented, and customer-focused environment
