About The Role:

The role involves conducting thorough financial and business due diligence on potential borrowers, assessing creditworthiness, and preparing risk assessments to support investment decisions. This includes analyzing financial statements, cash flows, repayment capacity, and sector-specific risks. In addition, the role extends to supporting fund-raising activities by preparing investor materials, coordinating due diligence processes with potential investors, and assisting in structuring financial instruments. By combining strong analytical skills with investor engagement, the role contributes to both prudent credit decision-making and successful mobilization of capital for the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Deal Sourcing & Evaluation: Identify and screen investment opportunities in high-impact enterprise (e.g., education, healthcare, financial inclusion). Conduct financial and impact due diligence, build models, analyse markets, and prepare investment memos/presentations. Contribute to fundraising and the full investment lifecycle.
• Portfolio Management: Track performance of portfolio companies (financial & impact metrics), conduct reviews, and prepare reports. Maintain strong relationships with investees, offering strategic support.
• Impact Measurement: Analyse impact data to guide investment decisions and validate IIX’s impact strategy.
• Fund Reporting & Support: Assist with analysis for senior management, support stakeholder reporting, and facilitate due diligence and closing activities.
• Relationship Management: Maintain productive ties with senior executives, advisors, and industry partners.

Required Qualifications

• Full professional proficiency in English
• Advanced Degree - MBA and/or masters in related field preferred for candidates for the Associate role
• At least 3-4 years of relevant experience is preferred for the analyst role;
• Well versed with financial modelling
• Good understanding of - and passion for - the field of impact enterprise and impact investing;
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues from various cultural backgrounds and great team player
• Ability to act independently and execute sound judgment
• Strong financial, accounting and Excel skills, experience building financial models
• Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
