BASIC FUNCTION

Position Overview

The Associate Services Technician performs installation, modification, repair, testing and/or servicing on systems and communications equipment, including, but not limited to: hardware and peripherals; software configuration; voice, video and data cabling systems; and networks.

What you’ll do at Insight

• Execute task processes as documented for diagnosis and remediation of client issues
• Utilize ticket tracking systems to resolve tickets coming from internal and external requests
• Monitor networks, servers, and applications
• Ensure proper issue escalation and effective incident resolution
• Gather metrics via monitoring, identify trends, and ensure that network servers are running well
• Communicate with various IT teams for issue resolutions

What you’ll need to join Insight

• Two-year Associate Degree (field related) or equivalent experience required
• Must have a minimum of 1-2 years NOC monitoring, events management or technical support experience
• Requires working knowledge of hardware/software concepts, including supported Microsoft products and network/account management tools
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business/ professional journals, technical procedures, or regulations required. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, other employees a must
• Able to thrive in an environment characterized by rapidly changing requirements and an ongoing focus on meeting operational objectives
• Strong written and verbal English communications skills
• Able to successfully manage multiple priorities
• Proven ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
• Strong commitment to company values and operating principles
