We’re looking for a skilled AU Accountant to join our team at Expo Centric. As our AU Accountant, you’ll manage and support the full spectrum of accounting and financial processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong financial governance.
Manage day-to-day accounting functions, including maintaining ledgers and financial records
Accurately record and categorise financial transactions in Xero
Process accounts payable and receivable, including supplier invoices and customer billing
Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up on payments
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, general ledger accounts, and multi-currency accounts
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements)
Prepare financial statements and summaries for internal and external stakeholders
Ensure compliance with Australian financial legislation and internal policies
Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Support internal and external audit processes through documentation and assistance
Present financial insights and reports to management when required
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across financial systems and reporting processes
✅ What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
CA or CPA qualification (highly regarded)
Minimum 3 years’ experience in an Australian accounting or finance role
Strong proficiency in Xero (essential)
Experience with payment platforms such as Stripe and managing multi‑currency accounts (highly regarded)
Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel
Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and time-management skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Clear communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within a team
