Position Summary:
As a Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and preparing tax computations, returns, and compliance activities for our clients. This role requires strong technical skills in Australian taxation laws and regulations, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex tax issues clearly.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and lodge tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, companies, and SMSFs (Self-Managed Superannuation Funds).
Review financial statements and accounting records to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with taxation laws.
Provide tax advice and guidance to clients on various tax matters, including GST, payroll tax, fringe benefits tax, and capital gains tax.
Assist in tax planning and restructuring to optimize clients' tax positions.
Keep abreast of changes in tax legislation and regulations and ensure compliance.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and provide excellent customer service.
Collaborate with internal teams such as finance, legal, and audit to address client needs effectively.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA or CA certification preferred.
Proven experience (2-3 years) as a Tax Accountant or similar role.
Sound knowledge of Australian taxation laws and regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage workload efficiently.
Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and confidentiality.
