Position Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line service support and coordinate with end users to set up and operate Audio-Visual Systems, Sound Systems, and Integrated Control Systems.
- Ensure systems perform in accordance with organisational requirements.
- Maintain daily operational readiness of A/V equipment in designated rooms.
- Respond promptly to A/V issues and user requests; perform initial troubleshooting and escalate as needed following incident management processes.
- Set up A/V equipment for meetings and events upon request, ensuring compliance with organisational standards.
- Deliver technical support for important meetings, online sessions, video conferences, and teleconferences.
- Suggest best practices for optimal A/V system usage.
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support during support hours to diagnose and resolve A/V faults.
- Log all incidents and service requests accurately in the incident management system.
- Maintain A/V equipment inventory and provide daily, weekly, and incident reports related to A/V issues.
Experience Required
- Proven experience as a live events technician, with proficiency in A/V system operation and troubleshooting under pressure.
- Experience with sophisticated A/V event systems and corporate A/V requirements.
- Skilled in supporting onsite, virtual, and hybrid events and meetings, including large town hall events.
Skills & Technical Acumen
- Expertise in supporting Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms.
- Ability to perform Level 1 and Level 2 diagnostics to quickly identify and resolve faults.
- Familiarity with Lenovo Core PC running Windows 11 IoT.
- Ability to interpret and work with VCC hardware schematic diagrams.
- Operational knowledge of Logitech Rally Plus components, Tap Controller, and Tap Scheduler.
- Ability to mount, install, test, and commission AV systems including VCC Compute, TV displays, cameras, controllers, speakers, and microphones.
- Capability to replace power, ethernet, USB, and proprietary cables.
- Skilled in setting up A/V equipment for hybrid meetings and events, demonstrating understanding of hardware-software integrations.
- Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA).
- Proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues before they impact users.
- Strong communication and coordination skills with end-users and IT support teams.
- Familiarity with Jabra Panacast 50 and Poly R30.
- Experience with AV monitoring tools such as Lenovo TSM, LogiSync, and Symphony.
- Ability to suggest best practices for A/V usage, reflecting analytical understanding of acoustics, room setup, and user workflow.
