Position Summary:
The Bookkeeper will manage and maintain accurate financial records, handle collections, and accounts receivable, and perform client outreach and follow-ups via email and phone. Proficiency in Workday, Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, and other financial tools is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain Financial Records: Accurately record all financial transactions using Workday.
- Accounts Receivable: Manage invoices, process payments, monitor accounts, and ensure timely collections.
- Collections: Proactively manage collections, reaching out to clients for overdue payments via email and phone.
- Client Communication: Send emails and occasionally call clients for follow-ups and to address any queries or concerns.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
- Data Management: Maintain and update financial data in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
- Support: Provide support for the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial management.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping experience, with specific experience in accounts receivable and collections.
- Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Workday, Google Sheets, and Microsoft Excel.
- Skills: Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to professionally handle client communications.
- Customer Service: Strong customer service skills with a client-focused approach.
- Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with additional financial software or tools.
