As a Payer Contracting Specialist with a strong background in quality assurance, you will closely work with our team members and clients to ensure accurate contract details, timelines, and practices. How You Spend Your Eight Hours
Communicate with insurance companies to collect contracting status and fee schedules
Accurately document client information into the Acorn system
Collaborate with account management team members to optimize contracts
Coordinate with internal departments, insurance companies, and clients to gather critical data
Maintain a professional relationship with the insurance companies or payers
Stay current on insurance industry practices and governmental rules
Help make informed decisions about changes to networks, contracts, practices, rules, and timelines
Maintain a library of plan details and business rules for team members
Clearly communicate modifications through training, company meetings, bulletins, etc
Proactively address billing and contracting issues escalated from account teams
Organize efforts of other parties to collect information on behalf of clients
What You Must Possess
Degree in business or healthcare administration
At least three years of payer enrollment or customer service experience
Dental/Medical credentialing experience desired
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
Ability to think critically and troubleshoot problems
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Positive attitude and organizational skills
Consistent and keen attention to detail
Eagerness to learn
Independence and team-oriented attitude
