About the Role
To process New Business, Endorsements and Renewals. To support the Broker.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Servicing
• Respond to enquiries and requests for action from Account Executives and Junior Brokers
• Processing of new business, renewals and policy maintenance to ensure provision of excellent service to clients and the highest quality input to insurers
• Providing and following up on quotations
• Processing all new business
• Processing of endorsements/amendments
• Quoting of renewals
• Preparing correspondence between clients and underwriters for approval by the Account Executive or Junior Broker
• Updating of Claims Status reports
• Attending to front counter payments and enquiries
• Assisting other Brokers when required for general queries
Complaints Handling
• Ensure customer complaints are escalated and responded to within specified Internal Dispute Resolution timeframes as per RG 271
• Assist in monitoring customer complaints, and assist with effective resolution when required
• Proactively identify, support and assist customers who need help to make a complaint
• Assist in assessing and prioritising complaints according to the urgency of the issues raised
• Take prompt action to identify affected customers and assist to provide fair remediation
• Recognise that everyone has a right to complain. Act with sensitivity as well as be objective and impartial
• Assist in preparing documents for customers and management
Education/ Compliance
• Undertake Professional Development activities as outlined in training plan
• Ensure all activities are carried out in compliance with relevant statutory and industry requirements and codes
• Maintain current knowledge of and adhere to company policies and principles as detailed
• Adhere to internal privacy guidelines and maintain confidentiality
• Acquire a sound knowledge of clients’ industries, businesses and risks
• Acquire knowledge of the Insurance industry and market
• Maintain an understanding of the products and services offered by the Company
• Maintain a sound knowledge of RG 271 (Internal Dispute Resolution
• Maintain an understanding of the principles of good customer conduct
