Bus Mechanic

In this critical role, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on a fleet of buses to ensure they are safe, reliable, and ready for service. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in diesel mechanics or automotive repair, with a keen understanding of bus systems and components. You will work hands-on to troubleshoot issues, conduct routine inspections, and perform repairs on engines, transmissions, brake systems, and electrical systems. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will help us maintain our high safety standards and enhance the operational efficiency of our transportation services. Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buses, including oil changes, brake repairs, and system diagnostics.
• Inspect and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to identify issues.
• Conduct thorough safety inspections to ensure all buses meet federal and state regulations.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair work performed.
• Collaborate with other mechanics and technicians to ensure efficient and effective operations.
• Respond to emergency repair calls and assist in roadside repairs as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
• Stay updated with best practices and new technologies in bus maintenance and repair.

• Must have minimum 3 years proven experience as a Bus Mechanic / Automotive Mechanic / Truck Mechanic or in a similar role, with a focus on diesel engines.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
• Must be a college graduate of Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology Major in Automotive Technology or equivalent,
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Willing to be relocated in Ireland.
