Business System Analyst

A Business Systems Analyst is responsible for leveraging their expertise in software systems and business processes to help the company maximize productivity, efficiency, and communication. This role involves working closely with management to identify business needs, coordinating with IT professionals to develop or enhance systems, and training employees to effectively utilize new technologies in their day-to-day operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Analyze current business processes and systems to identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains.


• Recommend and design solutions aligned with industry best practices and organizational goals.


• Collaborate with management and stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.


• Coordinate with IT and software development teams to implement or enhance systems based on identified needs.


• Develop and deliver presentations or reports to executives and stakeholders to support proposed recommendations.


• Manage implementation projects from initiation through completion, ensuring deliverables are met within scope, budget, and timeline.


• Create and maintain documentation related to business processes, systems, and user manuals.


• Provide user training and post-implementation support to ensure smooth adoption of systems.


• Utilize data analysis tools to generate insights that drive strategic and operational improvements.


• Stay updated on technology trends and emerging tools to continuously improve business systems and performance.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.


• Proven experience (2–4 years) as a Business Systems Analyst, Systems Analyst, or in a related IT/business role.


• Strong understanding of business processes and enterprise software systems (ERP, CRM, etc.).


• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.


• Proficiency in data analysis tools and documentation software (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Visio, Jira).


• Effective communication and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.


• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in project management or process improvement (Lean Six Sigma, Agile).


• Familiarity with database management and SQL.
