ZigZag is looking for a Cabinetry Draftperson to join our team!

Role Overview:

This opportunity is highly rewarding and challenging and would best suit an applicant who is passionate about technical drawing, documentation, collaborating amongst a team, and meeting client deadlines. Experience in the  Residential Building Industry will to be to your advantage.

You will be responsible for producing design drawings accurately and reflecting client requirements. In addition, you will complete shop drawings to enable effective and technically accurate production to flow smoothly. An eye for dynamic design and technical accuracy will be essential. In addition, you will be able to demonstrate a definite interest and exposure to a technical drawing and design. This job cannot be done remotely.

Position Role:

• 2 to 3 years of architectural drafting experience
• Advanced Communication skills (Verbal and Written)
• You will be able to generate technically accurate drawings from issued specifications within a collaborative environment
• Preparing general arrangement drawings for client approval and use.
• Able to consistently produce drawings showing all relevant specifications and measurements that facilitate the accurate production of jobs.
• Understand external client time-frames and your part in delivering high levels of customer service.
• Display basic project management skills.
• Ability to read architectural plans and specifications Able to communicate effectively i a team environment.
• MS office Experience - Outlook, Word, Excel.
• Previous CAD / drawing experience is preferred but not mandatory. Industry experience or previous liaisons with builders is advantageous.
• Cabinet Making experience preferred but not necessary
