The Cash Accountant is responsible for performing daily bank reconciliations across multiple accounts, ensuring accurate matching of transactions between internal records and bank statements. Duties include investigating discrepancies, recording bank-related transactions, maintaining accurate reconciliation records, and coordinating with banks and internal teams to resolve issues. Additionally, monitors cash balances, reports variances, supports process improvements, and prepares related reports and analyses.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform daily bank reconciliations for multiple bank accounts.
• Match and verify transactions between internal accounting records and bank statements.
• Identify and investigate discrepancies or unusual items and follow up for resolution.
• Record bank transactions, fees, interest, and other adjustments in the accounting system.
• Maintain up-to-date records of all reconciliations and ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Liaise with banks and internal departments to resolve issues as needed.
• Monitor cash balances and report any variances or issues to management.
• Assist in implementing process improvements to enhance reconciliation efficiency and accuracy.
• Prepare reports and analysis, as needed.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy
• Certifications/Skills CPA, an advantage but not required
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
• Experience With at least 3 years of experience in bank reconciliation and general accounting under a computerized accounting setup
• Strong knowledge in MS Excel and other reporting tools
• Experience in the use of Microsoft D365, an advantage
