Civil Engineer (Trimble Business Center - US Based Client)

Job Title: Civil Engineer - Trimble Business Center & Drafting Experience

Work Schedule: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time
Work Set-Up: Hybrid (Onsite training for a month of more depending on the performance of the employee. May be required to come onsite as needed for client visits, team collaboration, and initial training.)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Civil Engineer with hands-on experience using Trimble Business Center (TBC) and strong drafting skills to support a variety of land development, infrastructure, and construction projects. The ideal candidate will bring a solid understanding of civil design principles, survey data processing, and the ability to produce high-quality deliverables efficiently.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Process and analyze survey data using Trimble Business Center
• Perform topographic surface creation, volume calculations, and site modeling
• Create and edit detailed civil engineering drawings and plans using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D)
• Coordinate with field crews to ensure accurate data collection and integration
• Assist in the preparation of grading, utility, and site layout plans
• Interpret civil design specifications and technical drawings to support engineering teams
• Review and ensure quality and accuracy of drafting output prior to client delivery
• Collaborate with project managers, surveyors, and engineers to ensure project timelines and goals are met

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
• 7+ years of experience in civil engineering or land surveying environment
• Proficient in Trimble Business Center (TBC) is required.
• Proficient in 3D modeling software - Sketchup is required.
• Strong drafting experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or equivalent
• Solid understanding of civil/surveying workflows and file formats (e.g., .dwg, .dxf, .xml)
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Experience working with international client is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with construction staking, machine control models, or GPS workflows
• Familiarity with GIS platforms and/or additional design software
