Job Description - Claims Advisor


Responsibilities





    Role Overview: As a Claims Advisor, you will play a vital role in supporting our New Zealand business by managing and processing insurance claims efficiently and accurately. This position requires a highly organized individual with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills. You will act as a key liaison between clients, insurers, and our New Zealand team, ensuring claims are handled professionally and in compliance with industry standards. Key Responsibilities:

    1. Claims Management:
  • Accurately process and manage insurance claims from initiation to resolution.

  • Liaise with clients to gather necessary documentation and information for claim assessments.

  • Communicate with insurers to ensure claims are assessed and processed promptly.

    2. Customer Support:

  • Provide exceptional customer service, keeping clients informed about the progress of their claims.

  • Address client queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.

    3. Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensure all claims are handled in accordance with New Zealand insurance regulations and company policies.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all claims-related activities.

    4. Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with the New Zealand-based claims and underwriting teams to resolve complex cases.

  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on claims progress and outcomes.

    5. Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to improve claims handling processes and workflows.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices in claims management.




Requirements





    About You: To succeed in this role, you will bring:
  • A relevant degree or qualification in Insurance, Business, or a related field.

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in insurance claims processing, preferably in a brokerage or underwriting environment.

  • Familiarity with New Zealand insurance regulations and claims practices is a plus. Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

  • High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

  • Proficiency in using claims management systems and software.




Work Arrangement




  • Work Setup: On-site

  • Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 5:00 am to 6:00 am flexi start time, should complete nine (9) hours work, inclusive of one (1) hour lunch break, per working day.
