About the role

The CLM Copywriter writes the words customers read every day in and around the GoTyme app experience and nudges: push notifications, in-app messages, emails, SMS, banners, and engagement communications. Sitting in the CLM Creatives team, the role turns lifecycle briefs into clear, human, on-brand copy that gets customers to act, and keeps that quality consistent at the volume and speed lifecycle marketing demands.

The role supports GoTyme Bank Philippines, GoTyme Bank South Africa, and partner brands such as Sanlam, based on assignment. Great work here means short copy that performs, proven through tests and conversion, not just approvals. The function runs on four growth loops: activation, stickiness, primary bank, and reactivation, and the work here supports all four.

Lifecycle Copywriting

• Write copy for push, in-app, email, SMS, messaging, banners, and landing content from CLM briefs.
• Work within channel constraints: character limits, preview text, CTAs, personalization tokens, and fallbacks.
• Write in the languages and registers customers use: English and Taglish for the Philippines, South African English, and other local languages where requested by the market team.
• Use AI tools to explore angles, draft variants, and adapt copy by market, while owning the final wording: accuracy, brand voice, plain language, and compliance. Customer data stays out of unapproved tools.

Testing & Performance

• Write copy variants for A/B tests and help define what each variant is testing.
• Review results with CLM owners and feed learnings back into copy guidelines.

Brand, Clarity & Compliance

• Keep copy on-brand, in plain language, and free of jargon.
• Write and simplify the wording of promo terms together with Legal and Compliance, working from the mechanics signed off by the Promo Specialist.
• Proofread and QA copy in-platform before launch.

Systems & Collaboration

• Build and maintain a copy library of proven lines, templates, and tone guides per market.
• Work closely with designers so copy and visuals land as one idea.
• Manage briefs and turnaround through the creative intake process.

Must Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Advertising, or any related field.
• 2 or more years of experience as a copywriter in an agency, brand, or digital team.
• Portfolio of short-form copy required.
• Writes with the customer in mind: clear, honest, and helpful, never pushy or confusing.
• Familiarity with AI writing tools, or a clear willingness to learn them, with the judgment to keep the result human, accurate, and on-brand.
• Clear, warm, persuasive writing in a few words.
• Customer empathy and the ability to simplify financial concepts.
• Comfort with data and testing, and openness to feedback.
• Uses AI tools to work faster without losing voice, accuracy, or brand standards.
• Speed and consistency under high volume.
• Strong collaboration with designers and marketers.

Nice to Haves

• Experience writing for apps, CLM, social, or digital campaigns is an advantage.
• Background in banking, fintech, or other regulated categories is a plus.
