This is an initial ON -SITE job but will transition to HYBRID once performance has been established. (Hybrid setup is 2 days a month; RTO only).
We are seeking a motivated and professional Collections Agent to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for recovering unpaid balances related to internet services by contacting customers via phone, text message, and email. You will negotiate payment arrangements, resolve disputes. The ideal candidate is empathetic yet assertive, with strong communication skills and a focus on maintaining positive customer relationships while achieving collection targets.
Key Responsibilities
Contact customers with overdue internet service payments via phone calls, text messages, and emails to discuss outstanding balances and facilitate payments.
Negotiate flexible payment plans, settlements, or one -time payments to resolve debts efficiently and amicably.
Verify customer account information, explain billing details, and address inquiries or disputes related to internet service charges.
Use company software and databases to track collection activities, update account statuses, and document all interactions.
Escalate unresolved accounts to supervisors or legal teams when necessary, including preparing cases for potential external collection agencies or small claims.
Monitor accounts for payment compliance and follow up on missed payments or broken agreements.
Maintain accurate records of all communications and transactions to ensure regulatory compliance and support reporting.
Collaborate with billing, customer service, and sales teams to prevent future delinquencies and improve overall account management.
Required Qualifications
Must speak English.
2 years of experience in collections, customer service, or a similar role, preferably in telecommunications, utilities, or internet services.
Proficiency in using CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), and communication tools for phone, text, and email outreach.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to handle difficult conversations professionally.
Basic understanding of billing processes for internet or telecom services.
Experience with multi -channel collections (phone, SMS, email) in a telecom or ISP setting.
Strong negotiation and problem -solving skills, with a customer -focused mindset.
