Position Summary We are seeking a highly organized and safety-conscious Construction Site Manager to oversee day-to-day operations across our job sites. In this role, you will bridge the gap between design blueprints and physical execution, ensuring all work aligns perfectly with engineering specifications. You will serve as the primary onsite point of contact, orchestrating a diverse team of contractors, subcontractors, and laborers to deliver projects safely, on time, and within scope.
Key Responsibilities
Site Supervision & Quality Control
Monitor day-to-day operations on the job site to ensure all physical work aligns with design blueprints and engineering specs.
Conduct routine QA/QC inspections at critical milestones to identify and rectify non-compliant work early.
Interpret complex architectural drawings and structural details to provide clear technical guidance to onsite crews.
Enforce strict compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards, ensuring 100% adherence to PPE and safety protocols.
Track daily progress against the master schedule and manage incoming material deliveries for quality and specification accuracy.
Contractor & Subcontractor Coordination
Source, vet, negotiate terms, and hire qualified primary contractors and specialized trade subcontractors.
Develop and manage the master sequencing schedule to optimize workflow and prevent trade stacking on site.
Review and process Requests for Information (RFIs) and negotiate change orders when project modifications impact budget or timeline.
Evaluate and adjust daily manpower requirements to ensure optimal labor alignment with the current build phase.
Serve as the primary mediator to resolve scheduling conflicts, workspace disputes, or resource allocations among trades.
Requirements
Experience: 8+ years of experience in construction site management, field engineering, or as a commercial project superintendent.
Technical Proficiency: Expert-level ability to read and interpret blueprints, structural schematics, engineering specs, and MEP drawings.
Leadership: Proven track record of managing and directing diverse crews of subcontractors and union/non-union labor.
Communication: Exceptional conflict resolution, negotiation, and verbal/written communication skills.
Certifications: OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification required. Professional certifications (e.g., CCM or PMP) are a plus
