Job Description - Content Marketing Specialist

This is a remote position.

Content Marketing Specialist

  • Full-time | 40 Hours per week
  • HMO
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 PM - 5:00 AM Philippine Time

Objective Overview:


The Content Marketing Specialist at Summit Funding, Inc. will enhance the company's digital presence and customer engagement through innovative content writing. This role requires strong skills in writing, editing, and content management to support various marketing initiatives targeting potential borrowers, real estate agents, and prospective loan officers. The specialist will be instrumental in refining and delivering high-quality communication materials to foster the company's growth and market presence.


Responsibilities:


  • Press Releases:

    • Develop 5x press Releases per quarter (award submissions, brand journalism, trade-specific thought leadership articles).

  • Sales Team Marketing Library:

    • Create Single Flyers and booklets for various audiences and themes, including borrower and real estate agent loan product education and home buying education.

    • Develop Single Email and Single Social media copies.

  • Email and SMS Contact Strategy:

    • Write Top and Middle of Funnel loan borrower email prospecting campaign copies

    • Create copies for four different post funding email campaigns (including but not limited to drip emails educating borrowers post transaction, wealth starter kit emails, post-funding congratulatory emails with real estate agents)

    • Write copies for loan officers recruitment and agent prospecting campaigns.

  • Blog Strategy:

    • Write 500 to 700-word blog posts 4 to 6 times per month utilizing sources such as podcasts of company stakeholders, event summaries, and mortgage news/commentary.

  • Website Content Design:

    • Develop content for Summit Funding corporate and recruiting websites, event landing pages, and lead conversion pages.

  • Corporate Social Media Content:

    • Create graphic copies and captions for various paid campaigns, including recruiting and product strategies, as well as organic content posts.

  • Lead+ Wholesale Lending Content:

    • Create and update copies for a marketing library consisting of email and social media content about various loan products.

    • Take ownership of copies for the social media organic calendar (2-3x per week), press releases, and website content.


Goals and KPIs:


  • Q2 – Q4: Adherence to Summit’s voice and tone, quality of product descriptions and trade vernacular, and ability to highlight why Summit is appealing to work for.

  • Q1 2025 onwards

    • Achieve contact strategy conversion rates for borrower transactions and agent referrals.

    • Social media CTR

    • CRO for social, email, transactional email, and web platforms.


Performance Objectives:


First 2 Weeks: Orientation, Integration, and Content Materials Audit

  • Complete onboarding, familiarize with Summit Funding’s brand voice, and meet the marketing team.

  • Review existing content and prepare a report on areas for improvement.


First Month: Initial Creation of Marketing Collaterals

  • First set of email campaign copies created

  • First blog copy written

  • Collaborate on creating a social media calendar and develop social media captions 


First 90 Days: Content Development and Deployment

  • Produce and launch targeted content for email campaigns, social media, and the company website.

  • Evaluate and tweak the process flow for materials creation.

  • Assess engagement metrics for various platforms.


First 180 Days: Performance Review and Optimization

  • Review the impact of strategies on engagement and lead generation.

  • Adjust content writing approach based on analytics and feedback.


First Year: Leadership and Innovation

  • Lead major projects such as educational video series.

  • Propose new content solutions to stay ahead of market trends.



Requirements


  • Proven experience in content writing within the financial industry, preferably in mortgage services.

  • A strong understanding of marketing metrics and knowledge of content strategies such as but not limited to direct response marketing and content design

  • Ability to produce diverse digital and print content, including video scripts, social media captions, and informative articles.

  • Excellent project management skills to handle schedules, resources, and stakeholder expectations.

  • Proficiency in audience targeting and buyer personas.

  • Effective keyword research skills.
