You will primarily write copy forlocation pages, static pages, and blogs; however, you will also work on content and line edit analyses and blog analyses. You work well with a team but take initiative to meet goals and deadlines.
Job Expectations
• Work with the Content Manager to help onboard and train Content Production Coordinators.
• Delegate tasks to Content Production Coordinators and Editors when appropriate.
• Write copy for static pages, location pages, and blogs.
• Edit,rewrite, and proofread new and existing content created for Go Local Interactive and its clientele.
• Adhere to branding guidelines, along with the required voice and tone.
• Manage multiple projects and adapt to changes and revisions.
• Leverage digital platforms to strategically develop copy.
• Conduct keyword research and topic ideation.
• Mentor Content Production Interns.
• Mentor Content Production Coordinators.
• Clearly and consistently communicate between internal product teams using our primary platforms (ClickUp, Slack, Google Drive).
• Research and stay up-to-date on industry trends.
• Implement content onto content management systems, primarily WordPress.
•Bachelor’s Degree in English, Mass Communications, Journalism, or another related field preferred.
• 1+ years of related work experience
• Proven track record of prioritizing, organizing, and multitasking in a flexible and fast-paced environment to effectively meet deadlines.
• Ability to make strategic recommendations based on data.
• Strong conceptual and written communication skills with a deep understanding of the English language (spelling, grammar, mechanics, and vocabulary).
• Proven track record of improving personal performance after receiving direction and constructive criticism.
• Creative and strategic thinking when solving problems.
• Attention to detail while creating and revising projects.
• Basic understanding of content management systems, such as WordPress.
• Understanding of search engine optimization.
• Proficient skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, or the Google Business Suite equivalents.
•Experience with Google Drive is preferred.
• Portfolio is preferred but not required.
• This position will be backend and will not have client contact.
• Google Analytics Certification is preferred.
Full-Time, Monday to Friday from 8 am to 6 pm CST.
