This role carries full responsibility for driving strategic growth, establishing the brand’s presence, and navigating the dynamic regulatory landscape unique to the Philippine energy sector.

You will lead the development of new business opportunities, foster high-level stakeholder relationships, ensure operational effectiveness, and uphold strict compliance with local regulations. As the country’s primary representative, you will guide a growing team toward sustainable performance and profitability, while ensuring strong alignment with Solarvest’s regional and global objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership & Market Development

  • Develop and implement country-level strategies to support Solarvest’s long-term vision and achieve sustainable growth in the Philippines.
  • Identify emerging opportunities, market gaps, and competitive advantages within the solar, hybrid, and broader clean energy landscape.
  • Provide strategic insights and local market intelligence to HQ for product localisation and new solution offerings.

2. P&L Accountability & Business Performance

  • Lead the Philippines business unit with full ownership of P&L, revenue targets, profitability, budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimisation.
  • Drive both top-line and bottom-line growth, ensuring business sustainability and alignment with Solarvest’s performance standards.
  • Present regular performance updates and strategic recommendations to the Group CEO, CIO, and senior leadership team.

3. Stakeholder & Partnership Development

  • Establish strong partnerships with key local stakeholders, including government agencies (DOE, ERC, LGUs), utility companies, financial institutions, suppliers, contractors, and corporate clients.
  • Strengthen business development efforts by expanding Solarvest’s presence and influence within the Philippine renewable ecosystem.
  • Manage high-level engagements with C-suite decision-makers, ensuring Solarvest remains a trusted partner of choice.

4. Compliance, Permitting & Regulatory Engagement

  • Ensure full adherence to local regulatory requirements covering renewable energy, utilities, land permits, and project execution.
  • Lead and expedite approval processes with national and local authorities to ensure timely project deployment.
  • Maintain compliance with corporate governance, industry standards, and ethical practices.

5. Operations Oversight

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, including project development, engineering alignment, procurement, installation, and after-sales delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with internal cross-functional teams to ensure operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Implement best practices, risk management frameworks, and quality standards based on group-wide guidelines.

6. Team Leadership & People Management

  • Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing local team that reflects Solarvest’s culture, values, and commitment to innovation.
  • Mentor department leads to ensure strong execution across all functions, from commercial to operations.
  • Build a collaborative and agile work environment, fostering a performance-driven culture and continuous improvement.

Professional Background

  • Minimum 7 years of managerial or senior leadership experience, preferably in renewable energy, utilities, energy development, or related infrastructure industries.
  • Demonstrated success in P&L ownership, achieving revenue and profitability targets.
  • Strong experience in dealing with government agencies, corporate clients, and regulatory bodies.
  • Prior experience working with multinational or FDI companies is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of the Philippine renewable energy sector, regulatory frameworks, and local business dynamics.
  • Exceptional leadership capabilities with experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
  • Strategic, analytical, and solutions-oriented mindset with agility in fast-changing environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while maintaining strong alignment with HQ direction.

Education & Languages

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, or related field; MBA preferred.
