Job Summary: The Customer Service Representative (CSR) with medical experience will be responsible for handling customer inquiries, resolving issues, and providing information about our medical services. This role requires excellent communication skills, a solid understanding of medical terminology, and the ability to empathize with patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Support: Answer incoming calls, emails, and messages from patients and clients, addressing their inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Medical Knowledge: Utilize medical knowledge to provide accurate information about services, treatments, and procedures.
- Issue Resolution: Handle and resolve customer complaints and issues, escalating complex cases to the appropriate department when necessary.
- Appointment Scheduling: Assist patients in scheduling appointments, confirming appointments, and providing necessary pre-appointment instructions.
- Patient Records: Maintain and update patient records and information in compliance with privacy regulations and company policies.
- Billing and Insurance: Assist patients with billing inquiries, insurance claims, and payment processing.
- Follow-Up: Conduct follow-up calls to ensure patient satisfaction and address any ongoing concerns.
- Documentation: Accurately document all customer interactions, feedback, and resolutions in the company's CRM system.
- Collaboration: Work closely with medical staff and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and patient care.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in healthcare or customer service is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting.
- Medical Knowledge: Understanding of medical terminology and healthcare procedures.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and empathetically.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle stressful situations with patience and professionalism.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using customer service software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Interpersonal Skills: Compassionate and patient-oriented approach, with strong interpersonal skills.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
