Customs Compiler

JOB QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

• At least a High School graduate
• At least 1-2 years of relevant work experience.
• Preferably has experience on using CargoWise
• Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills
• Basic general understanding of clearance practices in Australia
• Ability to interpret commercial documentation required for Customs Clearance, such as: Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin
• Ability to follow SOPs to accurately input data into CargoWise (e.g., product codes, currency, invoice values, goods origins, Incoterms)
• Skilled in data entry with accuracy and consistency
• Ability to identify and record/escalate errors in documentation
• Basic knowledge of: HS Codes, Incoterms
  

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Able to read information from commercial documentation required for Customs Clearance. EG, Commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origins.
• Follow SOP to accurately enter data from Commercial invoice into Cargowise
• Data entry such as Product codes, currency, values listed on invoice, ensure values adds up correctly, enter goods origins, Incoterms.
• Record and escalate any errors found in documentation
