Data Analyst

PayMongo builds the most advanced online payments infrastructure in SE Asia, starting in the Philippines. Over the next few years, we will build a broad suite of products that aims to lower the barriers and remove all the complexities in payments. We are rapidly expanding to serve diverse needs of thousands of business. As a Data Analyst, you will be part of the Insights and Analytics team, the data-driven lens of the company, providing fresh insights based on existing user and business data. Working cross-functionally with product, engineering, finance, commercials and operations, you will be in a unique position to influence various parts of the business. Aside from being customer-centric, you will champion making the company data-centric.

• Build frameworks & introduce ways of working, guided by empirical observations and thorough analyses.
• Ensure that internal stakeholders have access to accurate and timely data, presented and visualized intuitively.
• Communicate cross-functionally to build a story around your analyses, enabling them to make the right decisions consistently and to respond to opportunities swiftly.
• Coordinate with Data Management to ensure that all critical and relevant data sources are available.

• You have 1-2 years working experience in Data, Analytics, Reporting or Business Intelligence
• You are proficient in SQL
• You are comfortable working with product managers and data engineers for the technical implementation of projects
• You demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate ideas, hypotheses, and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.
• You have a track record of above-average delivery speed on data projects and analyses.
• You have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or relevant field
• You love solving problems and are extremely analytical and data-driven in making decisions
• You are comfortable working either independently and as part of a team, context switching as the work/project requires is something you are able to do with ease.
• You are comfortable with ambiguity and are truly flexible—our environment changes rapidly, and your work might too!

• You are also proficient with Python and/or Jupyter
• You have solid understanding of financial reporting such as profitability reports, EBITDA, Cash Flow Analysis, etc.
• You have prior experience in fintech, banking or finance
