Position Title: Data Analyst
Job Summary:
- Analyzes, designs, develops and handles requested ad-hoc reports and other interim schedules
Role Exposure:
- Provides and serves immediate queries and ad-hoc reports to requesting units
- Determines that the requested data refers only to requestor's own Responsibility Center (Branch/Head Office units) and requests are properly endorsed by Supervising Area/Division/Region/Group Head; as well as SGV and BSP interim report requests are approved / endorsed by Institutional Accounting Division (IAD)
- Understands and analyzes report specification and existing sources of data to be used in generating the reports requested by the users
- Develops programs or templates and formulates logics in writing programs/scripts using Oracle tools based on report specification submitted by requesting units
- Performs necessary test to ensure accuracy and completeness of the requested reports in coordination with the requesting units
- Analyzes data discrepancies and relevance of data elements in response to report requirements and advises Data Quality Department (DQD) for data that needs necessary cleanup, retagging and adjustments
- Processes and generates the reports on or before the stipulated time; and rationalizes any unnecessary delays and unavailability of the required data to the requesting unit
- Ensures that reports submitted are accurate by making random data validation against other available source systems as General Ledger, Deposit and, Loan systems, etc.
- Delivers the reports to the requesting units/branches at the soonest possible time thru File Transfer Protocol (FTP), Managed FTP or e-mail facilities
- Addresses and evaluates issues/problems raised by the users regarding their reportorial requirements
- Coordinates with Data Quality Department (DQD) when the needed data is not available for possible data acquisition and reports data sources with discrepancies for data cleanup
- Tracks and keeps abreast of the changes in the databases and changes in business rules for acquiring data from production sources
- Performs other related functions that may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology / Computer Science or Accounting Technology
- Accounting courses an advantage
- Experience in PL/SQL exposure during internship an advantage
- Fresh graduates preferred
