Data Analyst Specialist

Mathematics, Statistics & Information Sciences (Science & Technology)

Data Collection and Processing:
 -Gather data from various sources, including databases, spreadsheets, and external APIs.
-Clean and preprocess raw data to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Data Analysis:
-Use statistical methods and data analysis tools to extract meaningful insights.
-Identify trends, patterns, and correlations within datasets.

Reporting and Visualization:
-Create clear and concise reports to communicate findings to stakeholders.
-Develop visualizations (charts, graphs, dashboards) to present complex data in an understandable manner.

Problem Solving:
-Analyze business problems and provide data-driven solutions.
-Investigate and troubleshoot data-related issues as they arise.

Projects:
-A new suite of Plotly dashboards for an ongoing project
-Extracting and manipulating data to desired visualization output, with guidance from our in-house quant analysts
-Design the data pipeline in a way that allows easy injection of new data points and modification of existing ones
Power BI:
-Tidy up Power BI datasets used for existing Power BI reports to improve speed and maintenance.
-Enhance existing Power BI reports to bring in new data and/or implement new ways of presenting data
Data ingestion – AWS to Snowflake
-Create schema for ingestion
-Build data pipeline
-Create potentially store procedures to pull data simply by providing identifier (TICKER) 
-Failure notification Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science).
  
   
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Excel, Python, or R.
  
   
• Proficient and with at least 3 years experience with Power BI (data visualization tool).
  
   
• Track record of creating dashboards (extracting data, transforming and presenting)
  
   
• Financial services experience, ideally in Equities
