Location: This is a hybrid opportunity where you will work once a week in the office. Our office location is at 10th and 11th Floor Robinsons Cyber Omega, Pearl Drive, Ortigas Center, Pasig City, Metro Manila, Philippines 1605

As a Data Engineer II with Insight you will design, build, and manage extensive data solutions on the Microsoft Data platform. Work with stakeholders to grasp their strategic goals and pinpoint ways to utilize data effectively. Create ETL pipelines using tools like Azure Data Factory, DBT, Fabric, Synapse, and various SQL engines. Develop and implement data models and data warehousing solutions using Power BI and Fabric.

As a Data Engineer, you will get to:

• Design, develop and maintain large-scale data solutions on Microsoft Data platform
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their strategic objectives and identify opportunities to leverage data and data quality
• Implement ETL pipelines using tools such as Azure Data Factory, DBT, Fabric, Synapse and other SQL engines
• Develop and deploy data models and data warehousing solutions using Power BI and Fabric
• Optimize performing, robust, and resilient data storage solutions using Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake, Snowflake and other related services
• Develop and implement data security policies to ensure compliance with industry standards
• Provide support for data-related issues, and mentor junior data engineers in the team
• Define and manage data governance policies to ensure data quality and compliance with industry standards
• Collaborate with data architects, data scientists, developers, and business stakeholders to design data solutions that meet business requirements
• Coordinates with users to understand data needs and delivery of data with a focus on data quality, data reuse, consistency, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Conceptualize and visualize data frameworks.

We are looking for a Data Engineer II  with:

•  Minimum 3 years experience in data engineering with hands on experience using Spark SQL to model and transform data
•  1 year experience working with DBT and a good understanding of DBT concepts
• Related Microsoft certifications, such as DP-203
• Experience on Azure Data Platforms, specifically Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Server
• Python application development skills
• Pyspark and or Scala development skills
• 1+ years of experience building Power BI models and visualizations with solid understanding of DAX and Power BI visualization techniques.
