As Data Migration Developer, you will provide dedicated Oracle PL/SQL development support to the Data Migration project by extracting and preparing legacy asset and geographic data for successful migration to the new target system. This role exists to ensure that data residing in the WAM and GIS databases is accurately extracted to the staging tables and that bundled WAM asset records are properly unbundled and contribute directly to transforming energy for a better world. You will work closely with [team] to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  Develop, test, and optimize PL/SQL scripts to extract data from the Oracle Work and Asset Management (WAM) Database and the Geographic Information System (GIS) Database.

  Develop scripts to unbundle WAM Assets, breaking down bundled/composite asset records into their constituent components required for migration.

  
  


• 
  

  Analyze source data structures in the WAM and GIS databases to determine appropriate extraction and transformation logic.

  
  


• 
  

  Validate extracted and unbundled data for completeness, accuracy, and consistency prior to handoff for migration or loading.

  
  


• 
  

  Document extraction and unbundling logic, scripts, and data mapping decisions for project records and knowledge transfer.

  
  


• 
  

  Troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies, script errors, and performance issues encountered during extraction and unbundling activities.

  
  


• 
  

  Collaborate with the data migration team, business analysts, and system owners to clarify data requirements and resolve data quality issues.

  
  


• 
  

  Ensure all scripts and processes comply with project data governance, security, and change management standards.

  
  


• 
  

  Provide status updates and progress reports to the Project Lead throughout the engagement.

  
  

What You Will Need:

Education & Experience:

• 
  

  Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or Mathematics

  
  


• 
  

  1 year of experience in the full Software Development Life Cycle

  
  

Technical / Functional Skills:

• 
  

  Proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL or SQL
