Our Information Security & Data Protection Office team is looking for experienced professionals to join us in Makati City with the role of Data Privacy Lead.

In this role, you will ensure that the Bank's processes related to personal data comply with applicable data protection rules and regulations. Support the delivery of Data Privacy programs and ensure the Bank's compliance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012.

What the role will entail

• Support in the development of the data privacy policy, procedures, and framework
• Identify data protection controls required to address data privacy gaps
• Actively participate in the development of Risk Management Framework to support the Banks Data Privacy (DP) and Information Security Management
• Collaborate with the Business Units (BUs) governance officers to carry out the Privacy Impact Assessment, maintenance of the DP Framework and Breach Notification and reporting
• Review and enhance contracts and help identify gaps in the data privacy provisions
• Support in the resolution of requests and complaints sent by employees and customers and identify actions required to resolve such requests and issues in coordination with the different process owners in the organization.
• Maintain a repository of all DP breaches and conduct regular analysis of the incidents and recommend process improvements

What were looking for

• Bachelors Degree in Cybersecurity or any law-related degree is preferred
• Strong working knowledge in data protection laws and regulations such as the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and GDPR
• Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is an advantage
• Proven work experience in data privacy in the banking industry or similar environment
• Solid knowledgeable in Banking data privacy obligations and Risk Management Processes
• Ability to analyze situations, challenges, and problems with perceptiveness and provide effective insights to address concerns
• Ability to act with a clear sense of ownership, follow through on commitments even without being told, and take personal responsibility for decisions, actions, and failures
