Data Researcher

Location: 10th Floor, Skyrise 4A, Geonzon Street, IT Park, Lahug, Cebu, Philippines

Working Pattern: Onsite

Salary: Php 16,000-18,000 monthly plus allowances

The Role

The Cebu-based research team is tasked with delivering best-in-class data on institutional and private wealth investors, fund managers and their associated funds along with performance metrics, and the service providers acting across the industry.

This is an entry-level role for an enthusiastic, diligent person who is interested in supporting the development and growth of our work. This role is well suited for an individual who is both interested in the detailed day-to-day work required for the development of applied data products and eager to learn about the broader financial data ecosystem and its relevance for institutional investors. The role will involve researching a range of institutions associated with the asset management industry with the aim of gathering critical information.

Responsibilities

Successful candidates will typically have a mix of strong communication, writing, and numerical skills, and the ability to build relationships with research contacts around the world.

• Conduct web-based research to gather relevant information on the asset management industry.
• Ensure all data is accurate and up to date.
• Maintain a high level of data accuracy and quality.
• Liaise with contacts primarily through outbound emails and phone calls (internationally).
• Participate in ad-hoc projects as assigned by supervisor.
• Collating, manipulating, and customizing datasets for project deliverables.
• You will have significant individual responsibility while working as part of larger project teams.

Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal English.
• Detail-oriented, diligent approach who is self-confident and motivated.
• Innovative thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
• A robust data orientation. Mastery of relevant aspects of Excel is a prerequisite.
• Knowledge of the asset management industry is preferred not essential.
• Work experience in a research-type role would be beneficial.
• Advanced research abilities, diligence, with a keen eye for detail
• Interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships.

Work Schedule:

• Willing to work in Cebu City, Philippines
• Will be required to work mid-shift and overtime occasionally
• Monday to Friday (excluding Philippines Public Holidays)
• Please note that this is an office-based position.
