Job Description - Data Services Representative I (Outbound Survey)

The Data Services Representative gathers information on multi-family properties (apartment communities) through telephone interviews, internet, and various other resources. The role entails accurately entering information gathered into a company-driven database which essentially contributes to the integrity, quality, and quantity of data submitted.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Contacting apartment communities and gathering updated apartment information through a survey .

Data entry of information gathered, including new rent and occupancy records, into the database and proofreading of own work.

Perform detailed data maintenance tasks, including identification of duplicates and/or changing floor plan information.

Use the internet and other resources to research data on new apartment communities.

Collect new information from the Pipeline department; confirm and/or modify existing records to reflect the new information gathered .

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

College degree in any field or equivalent experience .

At least 6 months of customer service experience, preferably in a call center environment.

Strong data entry skills.

Experience working in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer .

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Good time management skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.

Proven ability to learn and utilize new procedures and processes quickly.

Apartment industry experience is preferred.
