Design Manager - Multidisciplinary Project Delivery

Role description:

• Lead the GEC team in delivering complex projects that involves staff from different discipline and services.


• Serves as ‘Task Manager’ of the project and the main point of contact for the GE

Role accountabilities:

• Liaising with the Project Director/Manager and Discipline Leads to keep informed of the developments, changes/modifications associated with the project


• Overseeing multidisciplinary design team while providing technical leadership to project teams


• Responsible for financial and project management controls which enable monitoring, modification and forecasting as appropriate. 


• Coordinate with internal and, if required, external architects, engineers, modelers, and managers to align strategic objectives.


• Lead task reviews and submit copies to the BA Project Leads.


• Work with the Pursuit team in creating winning delivery strategies, cost projects, and ensuring high GEC engagement on projects


• Promotes the utilization of available SOPs, Standards and Digital Tools on the project.


• Apply Arcadis Health and Safety Principles during the delivery of the work. Ensure safe working conditions for the team.


• Perform the role following the Arcadis Behavioral Framework


• Help create client presentations, technical reports and communicate technical concepts

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture or engineering.


• 7 or more years relevant experience and delivering large scale projects
  Strong financial background related to projects and client management


• Strong written and verbal communication skills


• Experience in reviewing drawings and multi-discipline designs on digital platforms


• Experience working with projects that utilize fundamental knowledge of Autodesk Platforms: Autodesk Construction Clout (ACC) or Building Information Modelling (BIM) engineered solutions.


• Obtain Certified Project Management (CPM) certification status


• Basic understanding of project scheduling principles and concepts


• Preferred certifications (PE, RA, PMP) · Practical sustainability experience. Unique mechanical systems are a plus.


• Excellent leadership, motivating, and delegation skill
