Role Overview
Broadridge Trading and Connectivity Solutions (BTCS), an innovator and leading provider of financial software, is seeking DevOps Engineer.
We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join the BTCS NYFIX development team. BTCS NYFIX business provides software as a service to thousands of financial service companies. These services are mission critical, performant, highly reliable & resilient, and easy to deploy, operate, & manage.
Responsibilities
As a DevOps Engineer you would play a key role in:
Designing, implementing, and deploying these services. You would work as closely with the developers of the applications as part of the development team and coordinate with the operations and infrastructure teams to deploy and operate these services.
Design, systems engineer, develop, automate deployment, and automate operation of these services. You would be part of a small team that designs and implements the Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) systems that automatically builds and deploys the services to QA, UAT, and production systems.
Designing and system engineering the platforms on which services are deployed. This includes working with the software developers to create development environments used to experiment and develop new services.
Implementing the QA systems on which the UAT and production systems are based and coordinating with the operations and infrastructure teams to deploy these systems in UAT and production.
Designing and writing the software which control and manage the services. It may also include the software development of some portions of the applications.
Your Profile
Bachelor's or equivalent degree in computer science, software engineering, or in a related field
Fluency in English
5 years Linux system administration and/or Linux DevOps experience
2 years of experience as DevOps engineer
Excellent Linux skills
Excellent shell scripting skills
Experience with CI/CD systems such as Jenkins, Bamboo, Travis, Cruise Control, etc.
Experience with deployment and configuration automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.
Agile development practices experience
Committed, self-motivated, and fast learner
Excellent communication skills
Proactive, independent, and proven ability to work under pressure
Good to Have
Financial services industry experience
Experience with KVM, oVirt, VMware, etc. virtualization technologies
Windows system administration experience
Network administration experience
AWS, Azure, Google, etc. cloud experience
Linux package management experience with RPM and yum
Monitoring platform experience such as ITRS, Nagios, etc.
Container platform experience such as Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
Messaging middleware experience
SQL and database application development experience
Application development experience
Perl, Python, Java, C++ proficiency
