Digital QC Technician (US Media and Entertainment, Office-based)

Salary: P50,000 – P70,000 (Monthly Package)

Schedule: 4:00 AM - 1:00 AM PHT

What are we looking for?

Skills Required:

• Experience in Digital Media or Post-Production (1-2 years) – Ensures familiarity with industry workflows, technical specs, and QC standards.
• Knowledge of Video/Audio Technical Specifications – Understanding frame rates, codecs, aspect ratios, video compression, and platform requirements is essential for accurate QC.
• Attention to Detail & Strong Organizational Skills – The role involves error detection, metadata checks, and detailed reporting, requiring a meticulous and structured approach.
• Familiarity with QC Tools (IRIS, MediaInfo, Microsoft Excel) – These are essential for technical analysis, file verification, and reporting QC results efficiently.
• Understanding of Standards & Practices (S&P) QC – Ensures compliance with industry regulations, platform expectations, and content guidelines for distribution.

Nice to have:

• Experience with HDR and Dolby Vision QC – Knowledge of HDR10, Dolby Vision metadata, and color grading assessments is a plus for handling high-quality remasters.
• Familiarity with Film-Based Defects and Restoration QC – Understanding issues like flicker, dirt, scratches, splice lines, and warping helps in identifying restoration-introduced artifacts.
• Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve or Similar Software – Experience with color grading tools and video analysis software adds value for reviewing and adjusting visual quality.

What will you do?

• Perform Linear QC Assessments – Review video and audio files for quality, ensuring proper playback, synchronization, and adherence to technical specifications.
• Conduct Film Restoration QC – Identify and report restoration-introduced artifacts and original film defects such as flicker, scratches, dirt, and warping.
• Verify Film Conform & Framing – Ensure that film elements are properly conformed and framed according to project specifications.
• Perform Color QC – Assess color accuracy, shot matching, balanced levels, and overall consistency using scopes and visual checks.
• Execute Side-by-Side Comparisons – Compare source and newly remastered versions to verify content, timing, framing, and color accuracy.
• Generate Detailed QC Reports – Document errors, anomalies, and issues in a structured report for corrective action.
• Collaborate with QC Managers and Teams – Communicate findings and work closely with restoration and post-production teams to resolve issues.
