Electrical Technician

Purpose: To provide a professional and effective service to the Mechanical department.

Responsible To: TO/STO/Engineer/ Maintenance Manager / Operations Manager/Chief Executive Officer

Principle Accountabilities:

• To carry out and ensure Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) is completed in accordance with set schedules.
• Maintain engineering standards to ensure optimum operational effectiveness, and reliability of facility and associated systems.
• To respond in a prompt and efficient manner to all reactive issues and help desk requests.
• Flexibility to work with shift patterns.
• Flexible availability for 24/7 roster, standby duties, and emergency calls
• Carry out tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Provide progress reports on allocated work orders.
• Immediately notify the supervisor/engineer of any safety issues or concerns.
• Carry out installation works of Mechanical equipment.
• Responsible for pipefitting, pipe networks, pump and motors, firefighting systems, drainage network, sewage network and washroom fitting and plumbing.
• Installation, testing and maintenance of LV, MV, UPS system, battery charging
• System, load bank, capacitor bank, electrical panel, transformer.
• Maintenance and repair of fire alarm systems, BMS system, access control system and VFD system
• Ensuring the compliance to ISO standards (9001:2015, 14001:2015 and 45001:2018)

Shall assume the responsibility to comply with all aspects of the HSE Management system over which he has control.

Qualifications and Experience

• With certificate of technical education (Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics) for technician or equivalent, with 8-12 years of experience in compatible function and facility
• With proven knowledge and work experience with pipefitting, pipe networks, pump and motors, firefighting systems, drainage network, sewage network and washroom fitting and plumbing
• With proven knowledge and experience with Installation, testing and maintenance of LV, MV, UPS system, battery charging system, load bank, capacitor bank, electrical panel, transformer
• With proven knowledge and work experience with fire alarm systems, BMS system, access control system and VFD system
• Able to communicate in English language
• Has at least basic knowledge in computer operation
