Job Description - Electromechanical Technician
Job descriptionWe are seeking a skilled Electromechanical Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of electromechanical systems within our wastewater treatment plants. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical principles, as well as the ability to work in challenging environments.Responsibilities:Perform routine maintenance tasks on electromechanical equipment, including pumps, motors, valves, and control systems.Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation of wastewater treatment processes.Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and identify potential problems before they escalate.Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to develop and implement maintenance plans and upgrade projects.Document all maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and equipment condition, to maintain accurate records and compliance with regulatory requirements.Respond to emergency service calls and participate in after-hours on-call rotation as needed.Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training NCII (Electrician) in electromechanical systems preferred.Proven experience as an Electromechanical Technician or similar role, preferably in a wastewater treatment or industrial environment.Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, with the ability to read schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals.Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA systems, and other control systems used in wastewater treatment facilities.Proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment, to perform repairs and maintenance tasks.Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as participate in on-call rotation.
