The Didipio mine is located on Luzon Island in the Philippines and is the Company’s only asset that produces both gold and copper. Didipio was built by OceanaGold in 2013 and operates fully as underground mine, with over 800 employees that support the mine.

OceanaGold are seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and reliable Engineer – Project Execution (Electrical) who is responsible for overseeing the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of electrical systems required to support underground ventilation, de-watering and paste reticulation infrastructure at Didipio. The role also contributes to the engineering design of electrical reticulation systems via close collaboration with the Project Development team. The role will report to the Superintendent – Project Execution.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• ​​​Design, develop, and implement electrical systems and components for assigned projects
• Manage contractors and vendors during installation and commissioning phases.
• Monitor project progress and provide technical support during installation and commissioning.
• Ensure projects are managed in accordance with relevant health and safety regulations.
• Provision of electrical engineering inputs to the mine design process (area notes, stope notes and mining instructions).

• Registered Electrical Engineer

• Professional driver’s license

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering

• Previous mining or heavy industry experience.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.

• Previous experience in high voltage electrical reticulation design engineering, procurement and construction
