Job Description - External Audit Associate


Responsibilities





    Deliver high-quality work on all assigned tasks, in line with M+A methodology and engagement team expectations. Contribute to a positive team environment by demonstrating commitment, professionalism, and a solutions-oriented mindset. Continuously develop knowledge of audit tools and share insights with team members to enhance service delivery.
  • Skills and Attributes for Success:

  • Proactively invite and give constructive, real-time feedback.

  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members.

  • Work autonomously with strong self-motivation and accountability.

  • Maintain a sceptical mind and identify problems or improvement opportunities and suggest solutions.

  • Analyze data responsibly and with attention to detail.

  • Identify accounting issues early, document findings clearly, and escalate to the audit manager or director as appropriate.

  • Adhere to risk management and compliance procedures.

  • Stay up to date with developments in your area of specialization.

  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in written materials.

  • Build and maintain strong internal and external professional networks.

  • Uphold our firm's Code of Ethics and Business Conduct.




Requirements





  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience, ideally in external audit.

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.

  • Experience using cloud-based audit software and analytics tools.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.




Work Arrangement




  • Work Setup: On-site

  • Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm AEST, should complete nine (9) hours work, inclusive of one (1) hour lunch break
