Field Engineer - IT

This role is for a suitably qualified and enthusiastic IT Field support under the Regional IT Delivery team. The department is spread over the APAC region and globally, this role is based out of Manila, Philippines. Digital Technology Solutions > Digital Employee Experience & Infrastructure as a Service > Regional IT Delivery & Engagement Responsibilities

• Provide support for our end users as well as daily maintenance of the IT infrastructure
• Supporting building and infrastructure projects in need of hands-on at specific sites
• Handling swap stocks for PCs, tablets, and mobile phones and taking care of any reuse possible
• Meeting room, printers, patching
• Create and maintain site-specific documentation
• Ensuring that sites are set and maintained according to Vestas Global standards
• Closely communicate and collaborate with your colleagues in the rest of the IT organization to fulfill your role
• Installing network devices and doing service on servers
• Proactively detect and report any issues with Infrastructure at local sites to the appropriate team or project to ensure that the sites within your responsibility are maintained and kept up to Vestas standards

Qualifications

• Experience with Windows clients and IOS mobile
• Experience working in a global standard corporate client infrastructure environment
• Experience with network equipment, network patching of cabled and wireless network
• Understanding of what it requires to work within a standardized centralized infrastructure regarding configuration/programs and keep documentation maintained
• Experience with ITIL and knowledge of how to work in a production environment
• You know how documenting works in the ticket system (ServiceNow) and you have experience with doing site documentation

• Proactive, take initiative, and know how to combine this with the need for reactive support
• Service-minded, good at establishing relationships with your local stakeholders as well as your stakeholders in the IT organization
• Good at communicating solutions to the end-users and you can communicate with IT architects, project managers, end users in production as well as management level
• A high level of tidiness and you know how to document technical solutions
• Can work efficiently, take responsibility for operation and support, and deliver as committed to the projects you are involved with
• You speak and write fluent English
