Your Role as Finance Accountant

As a Finance Accountant, you'll manage daily, weekly, and monthly finance processes to deliver timely and accurate reporting. From P&L and balance sheet reconciliations to compliance reporting like BAS, PAYG, and FBT, you’ll be on top of everything that keeps the finance function ticking. This role also supports our client’s payroll team weekly and coordinates with external teams including Bali operations and Australian tax consultants.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Month-End Reporting & Reconciliations:

• Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Completion of month-end journals including accruals, prepayments, and amortisation
• Monthly review and depreciation posting of Fixed Asset Register (FAR)
• Reconciliation of monthly and quarterly gift cards and movie tickets
• Assist in ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis

Sales & Operational Support:

• Weekly sales reconciliation from POS to Dashboard and NetSuite for both company and franchise restaurants
• Invoicing of all Franchise Partners (FP)
• Third-party delivery reconciliations for external providers.
• Monthly delivery partner credits reconciliation
• Sweep excess cash to high-interest accounts

Tax & Compliance:

• Assist in collating and submitting tax information: Income Tax, GST, FBT, PAYG
• Generate Business Activity Statements (BAS) monthly
• Liaise with external tax accountants

Cross-Team Coordination:

• Bali management including oversight of bank records
• Coordination with the Bali team and operational finance contacts
• Participate in projects and process improvement initiatives

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

• CA or CPA qualified (or actively working towards certification)
• 2+ years of relevant experience in accounting.
• Proficiency in NetSuite and Xero (Xero certification a plus)
• Strong working knowledge of Australian tax regulations and payroll compliance
• Excellent analytical, reconciliation, and reporting skills
• High attention to detail and systems thinking
