We’re looking for a Finance & Credit Officer to take charge of our finance functions and process real
solar financing loans. This is an opportunity to create and manage scalable and efficient processes in
a dynamic and growing start-up company. We’re looking for problem solvers with a meticulous nature
who are looking for their next challenge! You will also be working on the front-line of customer loan
applications to finance their Helios solar systems. You’ll be customers’ dedicated solar financing
expert and responsible for getting customers the best possible terms in the least possible time!
Role Description
The Financial Operations Officer will be responsible for:
● Bookkeeping - executing day-to-day financial operations, maintaining and balancing financial
records, keeping track of accounts payable and receivable, processing journal entries, and
using accounting software to manage financial transactions.
● Loan Officer - assisting Helios customers in the timely preparation of solar loan applications
to Helios-partnered banks, managing active applications and troubleshooting issues that
arise in the approval process. Through your effort, homeowners will be able to benefit from
clean and green solar energy!
Qualifications
Requirements:
● Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
● Experience in Bookkeeping, Accounting, and Finance
● Thorough proficiency in Financial Statements and Journal Entries (Accounting)
● Proficiency in standard accounting principles and general financial operations
● Proficiency in financial modelling (Excel)
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
● Excellent problem solving skills
● Attention to detail and accuracy
● Highly organised with an ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Bonus:
● Experience in the solar energy industry is a plus
● Familiarity with Accounting Software
● Experience in consumer credit is a plus
● Experience with Goods and Services Tax (GST) regulations
