Finance Assistant

• Role/Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Assistant Finance Manager, the Finance Assistant is responsible for providing support in the accounting function by performing disbursement-related tasks and assisting in general accounting activities for the assigned company/ies. The position is expected to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of financial transactions and records, supports timely settlement of company obligations, and contributes to the preparation of reconciliations, audit schedules, and financial reports.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Pre-audits invoices for payment to ensure accuracy and completeness of documents before processing.
• Processes and monitors payments and expenses to maintain timely financial transactions.
• Processes government remittances to comply with mandatory requirements.
• Ensures accurate and timely payment of invoices to suppliers and service providers.
• Enforces compliance with disbursement policies and procedures to uphold internal controls.
• Prepares payment journals for transactions to support accurate financial recording.
• Prepares journal entry adjustments to correct and align financial records.
• Validates and analyzes monthly disbursement reports from the NAV System to ensure data integrity.
• Assists in reconciling accounts to ensure consistency between subsidiary ledgers and the general ledger.
• Prepares supporting schedules and documentation for internal and external audits.
• Assists in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports to support accurate financial statements.
• Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications:

• Must be a graduate of BS Accountancy or any accounting and business related courses
• At least 6 months experience in the field of Finance or Accounting
• Experience in BPO industry is an advantage
• Familiar with accounting and/or finance-related applications
• Fresh grads are welcome to apply
