Job Description - Finance Specialist (Accounts Receivable)

We are looking for a Finance Specialist specializing in Accounts Receivables to join our Global Finance team in Manila.

Smartly.io has grown rapidly into a Global business, and we currently have 14 legal entities around the World. In this role you will be part of the Smartly.io Global Finance team and join an international team of fun, flexible and driven team members! This is an exciting time to join us as we continue to strengthen our Global Finance team, and you will play a key part in evolving our incoming payments processing and reconciliations.

Your main responsibilities will be to help our customers around the world with their finance related questions, process bank statements, communicate with customers and drive PO updates. You will also take ownership of different vendor portals and invoice uploads as per customer requests.

As a Finance Specialist at Smartly.io, you will...

  • Act as a contact point between Smartly teams and Global customers for invoice & payment queries
  • Proactively work with customers to collect payments and solve issues
  • Take ownership of daily accounts receivable tasks such as enabling a smooth customer onboarding, handling payment applications and discrepancies, generating customer statements and reminders, reconciling overall customer accounts receivables
  • Take part in our monthly financial closing schedule as related to revenue and accounts receivable requirements
  • Help us shape our Group finance processes going forward
  • Other daily finance tasks and routines

We're definitely looking for you, if you...

  • Have relevant work experience in finance - we do not necessarily expect you to be fully fluent in all the tasks from the start, we are also open towards applicants who are willing and able to learn the needed skills
  • Have solid organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities and co-operate with the team to execute in a fast-paced environment
  • Have strong communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Are result oriented, comfortable working in collaborative setting, and an interest in continuously automating and improving processes
  • Are fluent in using MS Office (Excel) and Google Suite (Sheets)
  • Are comfortable using English in a work context
  • Experience in using Netsuite is considered an advantage
  • Experience in using Salesforce is considered an advantage
