Financial Analyst

About the Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced finance professional to join the team to support Flippa’s clients (sellers) and assist our Brokers and sales team. This person is responsible for updating financials (revenue and cost) plus primary expenses on all listings each month to ensure that Flippa’s listings have accurate and up-to-date financials. 

The key purpose of this position is to communicate with clients and request updated numbers. You will play a key role collaborating with all team members of Flippa to deliver successful customer and business outcomes.

The role requires outstanding email communication capability and an understanding basic-level financial concepts including how to read a P&L.

This position will be based in Manila, Philippines and will report to our Philippines-based Team Leader within Flippa’s Finance team. 

What you will be responsible for:

• Communicate with clients (sellers) and request updated numbers.
• Updating financials (revenue and cost) plus primary expenses on all listing each month.
• Ensuring all listings have accurate and up-to-date financials.
• Understanding basic level financial concepts including how to read a P&L
• Responding to financial inquiries by gathering and interpreting data
• Collaborate with all team members to deliver successful customer and business outcomes.

To be successful, you will have:

• Preference for 2+ years as a professional accountant, bookkeeper, auditor or analyst. 
• Strong communication skills
• Professional and enthusiastic with a “can do” attitude
• A keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data
• Strong analytical skills and an inquisitive mind
• Commercial and business awareness
• Ability to develop strong working relationships
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices and principles
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Exposure to accounting systems such as Xero, MYOB and QuickBooks
• Understanding of foreign currency
