About the job Financial Planning and Analysis Officer

Job Summary:

Work closely with and support the Corporate Planning Senior Manager in fulfilling various functions including Long Range Planning, Annual Budget Planning, Monthly Rolling Forecast, Management Reporting, Finance Business Partnering, and Other Adhoc projects.

Key Result Areas:

Annual Strategic Planning:

  • Support the Corporate Planning Team in leading the annual budget exercise by creating and updating timelines, assumptions, and templates.
  • Coordinate and assist SBUs, Corporate Services, and Functions in finalizing Long Range Plans.
  • Review and analyze the consolidated Long Range/ Strategic Plan, finalize the Annual Budget, and oversee data upload in Anaplan system.

Monthly Financial Forecast:

  • Coordinate with SBUs on outlook (forecast) submission, projecting the latest outlook for Corporate Services and Functions.
  • Review and analyze outlook numbers submitted individually and overall, and perform scenario planning as required.
  • Finance Business Partnering:
  • Review profit and loss statements for Corporate Services and Functions, analyzing variances against benchmarks.
  • Support the Corporate Expenses Lead in financial analysis/modelling for projects and maintain close partnership with Corporate Services and Functions.

Management Report (MR) Analysis:

  • Review and analyze monthly management reports (MR) of SBUs, update MR structure and definition as applicable.
  • Support the maintenance of MR database, conduct financial analysis of Management Report, and monitor actual expenses against budget.

Others:

Undertake other projects as necessary.

Job Specifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years combined experience in accounting, audit, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and management reports.
  • Certified Public Accountant, Management Accounting Certificate (CMA, CIMA) is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Highly numerical and analytic with keen attention to detail, exhibiting critical thinking skills.
  • Good ability in data gathering and analysis, excellent communication skills.
  • Interest in general business and finance practices, with a passion for learning and commitment to growth.
